Inclination vs Heel Height

Inclination is the steepness or angle that your foot is in when wearing a heel. Heel height is the height of the actual heel.

A shoe can have a higher heel height without increasing the inclination if it has a platform in the forefoot. Comfort is determined by the inclination/steepness more so than the heel height. Most women can tolerate up to 95 degree of inclination with the most comfortable being between 50-75 degree.

Experienced heel wearers find 90-95 degrees to be acceptable. With our ALIA technology 95 degree inclination feels more like 50 degrees. Beyond 95 degrees inclination you have to be used to wearing super steep heels and have the flexibility and morphology of the foot to tolerate a steeper incline.

When you shop compare apples to apples by looking at the inclination and not the heel height. The inclination will affect your comfort more than your heel height.
